Entertaining at Home, Inc. began as a subsidiary of The Reader's Digest Association.
Bill and Robin Shaw founded the company to fulfill a lifelong dream of creating a business
built around their passion for entertaining family and friends at home.
Realizing our Nation was about to face unprecedented challenges with a looming financial
crisis on the horizon and rising unemployment, The Shaw’s developed the first and only
party plan business built for today’s economy. The Company launched on May 1, 2006 and quickly
became one of the industry’s big success stories. Over the course of the next eighteen months
the Company unveiled several exciting new programs including Performance Tracker, Pathway to Success
personal leadership development program, Meeting in a Box and more. Bill and Robin acquired the
Company from Reader’s Digest on July 25, 2008 along with good friend and former CEO of Reader’s Digest,
Eric Schrier and a small group of private investors. The Shaw’s quickly introduced more improvements
like purchasing a tank of gas each month for Consultants working the business, offering iPhones,
laptop computers and a Company paid hybrid car program. This amazing transformation reflects
their commitment to the Company’s Consultants and employees. Today, Entertaining at Home has
redefined the party plan business in America as more and more smart people are deciding to change their
lives by joining our Company in record numbers.
